Our founder, Rick Johnson, began his career as an installer for Montgomery Ward and later established a shutter manufacturing company. Eventually, he launched Midtown Shutter to focus on servicing window coverings for homeowners and commercial accounts in the greater Bay Area. His commercial projects include universities, hospitals, hotels, and apartment buildings. He is joined by Kim, a 38-year veteran in the design, window covering, and shutter industry, who moved to Santa Rosa to continue his career.

Kim Starmer, our sales manager and former owner of Viewpoint Interiors, has been serving Sonoma, Napa, Marin Counties for over 30 years.
